    RYO Cigarettes Anyone?

Mrs. Bruck usually has an RYO cigarette with me in the evenings as I indulge in a cigar or pipe, and I'll have one once in a blue moon. She likes the Stokkybes offerings, but I finally made a homebrew blend that she likes -(approx.) 50% VA, 30% burley, and 20% Turkish Imzur. I use a pasta machine for a shredder. Anyone else do any cigarette blending?

I used to make a blend back before I quit cigs. I would usually mix burley & some perique. Weird combo but I liked it. Bought from D&R for many years

Stokkybes is good quality. My wife used to get their Danish blend all the time

Interesting blend! Mrs. Bruck likes the Stokkybe's Amsterdam. Personally they all taste about the same to me.

I've been smoking RYO for the best part of 7 years, and now i find it difficult to stand the weak, dry taste of regular cigarettes.
I started off with Camel and I'm now smoking Marlboro, between 3-7 cigarettes a day. Consumption is declining as pipes, cigars, snuff and snus make a bigger and bigger contribution to my nicotine intake.
No blending of my own though. I'm a little late to the part but I plan on planting several tobacco plants (burley and virginia) and trying to make cigars, pipe tobacco and cigarettes out of it. I'd make some nice snuff if I got hold of some Rustica seeds...

After smoking Marlboro and Camel for so long I moved to American Spirits, but soon lost my job and found you could buy the loose tobacco and cigarette tubes for about the same price and so I did that after finding that rolling cigarrettes with loose filters was a little more difficult than I figured.

I used the electric machine and tubes with two blends. One was D&R Ramback Balkan with Newminster 702 30% and D&R Rimboche mixed evenly with MacBaren #1Virginia dryed and rubbed out further to thin ribbons. I also would roll out D&R Picayune for a real flavor and nic bomb. They were all good with Perique!

I liked the Picayune you sent rolled unfiltered, stuck in a cigarette holder. It was about the right serving size of picayune for this light weight to handle (still non-inhale, I never developed that habit).

I used to be heavily into RYO. I experimented with many machines, tubes and of course, tobaccos and blending. I finally ended up with a Premier Supermatic, which I still believe is the best all-round machine out there. I was extremely interested in the purported ease of the electrics, but never found one that seemed like it would stand up to the long-term rigors of habitual use. I found that, once I got my skillz down solid, I could produce a pack of cigs in about 5 minutes. Not bad.

For tobacco, I blended two D&R offerings, specifically, Windsail Platinum (golden flue cure) and a Euro belnd called Ryback (fire cure) along with a little Layne 1Q. This rendered an exceptionally smooth, full-flavored smoke with great finish and aroma. The biggest reason I RMO was flavor and I always maintained that if I were forced to smoke only commercial cigarettes, I'd quit the same day.

After much experimentation, I found Gambler Full Flavor tubes to be the most neutral, with no paper, chemical, or after taste. They're among the cheapest too.

I finally got sick and tired enough of the holes in my cloths, stink in my house and car, that I gave it up and have been a vaper for the past two years and won't be looking back.
