Hmm, direct sunlight or does any light source at all degrade the tobacco?

Direct sunlight is the worst, other light is not as bad, no light is best, but as Tobias observes, a little light isn't going to kill the tobacco. Look at all the B&Ms w/ thousands of exposed sticks.

Duh, that's a good point. My Boveda pack covers all but the longest cigars in my little OXOdor. I will have to ask for more thin cedar sheets the next time I drop by my B&M.

A dude at work gave me a few infused cigars today, so I put together yet another jaridor. Since this one is for quarantining my infused sticks, maybe I should call it the quaridor:

Kind of like having a candy jar on the desk... only better.

Indeed - probably better for you in the long run

That reminds me, the same guy who gave me the infused sticks keeps a stocked humidor on his desk, in his office, locked. Totally unnecessary to lock it up in our work environment, but old habits die hard. He said he started doing it when he was in the service (Army Master Sergeant). He thought he was smoking too much as he had to keep restocking his desk humidor (which he wasn't locking at the time). Mind you, he smokes good cigars (unlike yours truly). Then he started noticing his cigars half smoked on the ground near the smoking tent. So the soldiers were just grabbing them like candy from a jar. That's when he got a humidor with a lock.
