I've watched a few Youtube vids on it and it sure looks fun to play with different blends and try to come up with something you like.
Where might one find the starter kits that have been mentioned?
I've been eyeing molds for a while but they all seem eye-waterinly expensive and I don't quite fancy making my own out of PVC tubing...
Looking pretty good guys. My only suggestion is that you home rollers sell some to us mugs to try some day!
I got a starter set this past Christmas and have only rolled 2 batches of 4 each so far. Ecuador shade wrapper, Sumatra binder, Dominican seco and Dominican ligero for the filler. I cut the ligero proportion in half compared to the recommendation. I smoked 1 from each batch so far, and they were good, but I think would benefit from the extra ligero. The second batch had much better construction. The only thing I haven't bought yet is molds. I've been using paper towels after rolling the binder to give a better shape and it has worked pretty well so far.
Here is my first batch. Not pretty, but not a bad start. The one I had from this batch had a really tight draw. I am hoping the rest are better.

I got my wooden 48RG mold from leaf only and so far I'm happy with it. Works great if you don't have a vice or a press. They're also where I've been getting my CT broadleaf wrapper from. Sucks they recently stopped selling sample sizes.Quote:
