My shredder wore out last night when I was shredding a bunch of whole leaf. It'll take a week to get another one here in the mail. I carefully cleaned all the paper bits out of my little desktop paper shredder and washed the receptacle bin and used it to shred some leaf on a trial run. It did a pretty good job, but some of the pieces were too long for packing a pipe easily. So I put a handful at a time in my tobacco-dedicated blender and gave it a short burst at high speed; the pieces came out just right for smoking:
Then I watched some YouTube videos on rope making and gave it a shot. The core consists of three types of Virginia: red, orange and lemon and the wrapper is Kentucky Fire Cured:
Sliced some off, diced it up and tried a bowl... not bad. I thought it might be bitey, but it wasn't.
