Pipe cabinet for my pipes and accesories

I made this pipe cabinet from a pre-made cabinet for jewellery I bought at a DIY store. I had to make a few alterations to suit my needs. The two side compartments had brackets on the top where one could hang neck chains. I removed them to make space for my tobacco and pipes. For the tobacco compartment it was quite easy because I could only layered it with some blue felt material. I had to cut all the inlays for the pipes from some off cut wood lying around. The drawers are quite handy for all the accessories. At the end I painted the cabinet with some brown craft paint.

The blue felt lining looks nice. I like how with a little imagination you've repurposed the cabinet to make it useful for you.

Curious, what are those trophies setting atop for?

I guess this will be something much to small for all your pipes

When my two boys were 4 years old we send them for swimming lessons. On the last day they received each a trophy….today they are 20 years old. This is something I keep close to me.
