    Now that I see this....carving!

    I'm currently working on my second pipe (Hwiebe I am not...), with a delay of late for loss of lunch time sanding for the week. I'll post pics soon...

    Looking forward to seeing this. I have a pre-drilled block that's been sitting on my shelf for at least 5 years but never got beyond sketching a design on it with a pencil.

    And here goes....still pretty early in the game, but you can see where the shape is going...



    With a bit of water, you can see the grain coming in these earlier pictures...





    This coming week should see some progress.

    Update time - finally. Shape is starting to arise from the briar, and stem is fit nicely. The pipe is not a chin hanger by any means, but not overly massive either.









    Lots of work to do on the flanks and with the shank shaping, but sanding is finally on the horizon.
