I'm smoking a really freaking good cigar

I feel like this needed a thread of it's own, I'm not just smoking a cigar today- I'm smoking an Oliva V melanio, and I have been eyeing these suckas for months. My B&M pulled through as I happened to stop in there today and I couldn't resist... This cigar has definitely lived up to the hype. A true cigargasm my friends.

The presentation is what intrigued me, band, I like the box press, the wrapper is beautiful. The flavors are just nice and mellow like a roasted coffee with vanilla hints and some nutmeg.

Yep. A nice well-rounded smoke with a pleasing finish. In my top 5 or so, I would say. Hard to find a bad Oliva, imho. The ones they do turn out well and the V's do kind of stand apart.

I have had them before and concur wholeheartedly with your assessment.

    & @TCBSmokes I don't recall ever having a bad Oliva either.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

How much better than the regular Serie V are they? I enjoy the Serie V, and have eyeballed these, but haven't tried one yet.

Personally I like the Maduro a lot more. @llroy if you like the Series V the melanio is worth a try.

What a great smoke! I do cherish them.....
Like my father before me, I will work the land,
And like my brother before me, I took a rebel stand.

Great cigar...bought 2 boxes a couple of years ago and while they have dipped in overall taste they still taste like a dessert cigar.

Spot on. Had my first the other day (just one of those blends that has somehow slipped through the cracks over time) and it was magnificent. Beautifully smooth. Glad I have another in the humi.
