What are some of your favorite economy pipes?

Sunrise pipes caught my attention many years ago; they were made by Comoy's. Probably a seconds line for Comoy's as quite a few of them have fills. It's fun to find one on Ebay or at an antique store. They smoke good and you rarely have to pay more than $20 for one.

Savinelli had the Naturals line, now called Unfinished. They smoked great and used to sell for $35. Unfortunately, they've changed the name, and increased the price to $70. Which really sucks for a pipe that has a buncha fills with no finish.

For inexpensive pipes, I've stuck with Dr. Grabow via the local Walgreens.

Cobs, of course, need you ask

But also, I've been buying and finishing some unfinished briars and clays from this guy on the bay of e:

    fory63 | eBay

I've documented some of them on this thread:

    www.cigarbum.com/forum/the-do-it-yourselfer-discussion/sandblasted-briar-5180.html

They're pretty thin and rife with fills, but smoke just fine although the bowls can get a little hot. Nice thing about their thinness - very lightweight, easy to just hold in your mouth while working with your hands.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

I like my Dr Grabow but have found the cob pipes I have can be just as enjoyable.
