Storing Pipe Tobacco....
I did some searching, but didn't find what I was actually looking for. I just have 7 bags of tobacco that have been graciously sent to me by some fine gentleman. I have an extra desktop cigar humidor that I put them in with a 65 Boveda pack. Is that cool, or should I be doing something different. I know people use the jars, but with the little I have, can I just toss them in the humi and be OK?....

You want your pipe tobacco to be WAY below the Rh of your cigars. I would suggest buying a tupperware locking container to throw the bags in if you don't want to jar it up. You're not hurting it by keeping it at 65, but it won't smoke very well at that level.

Thank you sir. I have no idea what RH to shoot for....

many of us think the 15% range is ideal, give or take 5% for preference.

Pipe tobacco is an entirely different beast. One of the primary reasons Rh is important for cigars is because they are rolled. Sliced and rubbed out pipe tobacco need not be concerned with Rh affecting construction.

You may think it obsessive to buy a whole box of mason jars for the purpose, but in a short time you'll be buying more. And in a couple years, you'll need a bigger house

Woulda paid for me to check out this thread before starting a new one about Masons.
Most of my open tins and baggied tobaccos are stored short-term (anywhere from 1 month to 12, depending) in freezer bags. Been doing that for a few years now and I've never had a problem with anything drying out.
My suggestion though is to buy that case of Masons at Walmart for, what, $9? Then fill 'em up with some tobacco!
