    The Cigar Bum Top 25 for 2015

    @Old Smokey PM'd me with an awesome idea a couple days ago, a Cigar Bum top 25 cigars of 2015 as voted on by the bums! If you like this idea, bump @Old Smokey . So here's how we will go about it:

    This will be the nomination thread, if you all will keep a running list (like we do with contests where you copy the previous post and add your info to it) of the cigars you want to nominate. To keep everything easy to work with, let's nominate the cigars with the Brand then Blend. Don't worry about vitola unless it is necessary. . For example if I wanted to nominated the Eye of the Shark, I would list, Arturo Fuente- Eye of the Shark. No need to put your name with your nomination. If you all don't mind, let's try to keep it in alphabetical order so it is easy to see if a cigar has already been nominated.

    If a cigar you would like to nominate has already been nominated, please add a +1 next to it. If it already has a +1, change it to a +2, if it has a +2 make it a +3 and so on.

    You can nominate as many cigars as you want to using whatever criteria you feel applies. The cigar doesn't have to be new to 2015. If it is a CC please note it as such to eliminate confusion over the brands sucks as Montecristo, Cohiba, Romeo, etc. I'll let this thread run for 2 weeks, ending December 7th. After that, I'll post up a list of the top 25 nominees. Then I'll make a week long poll where you can choose 3 of the top ten to give us a Cigar Bum Cigar of the year. Sounds like fun to me!

    Hi Jesse,

    Excellent idea. Is this for cigars introduced in 2015 or did they just have to be available this year?

    I've not bought a cigar for a couple of years so I may have nothing to add but it should be fun to see what everyone is smoking.

    They don't have to be introduced in 2015. If you smoked it in 2015, it counts!

    Thanks for the clarification and I'll start things off with a personal favorite.

    Pueblo Dominicano (Toro if size is required but the Torpedo and Rothschild are just as good).
    Blender = A.J. Fernandez
    Country = Nicaragua
    When bought = 2012 & 2013
    Average price paid = $2.00
    Last known availability = April, 2015
    Strength = medium-full

    Why I nominated this cigar:
    Stupid band . cBid was selling some at least into April of 2015. They need 6+ months age at ~62 to 66-rh. Never had a construction or burn issue and always excellent to superior smoking experience. Wrapper's as strong as it looks (coarse but clean), dropped some without damage.

    Solid construction. Aged leather base with some cedar, roasted nuts, coffee and a bit of spice. Plenty of smoke and very consistent to the nub. Superb retrohale (snork) is full bodied with milky sweet toffee and spice (cayenne). I've compared them to pre-embargo Hoyo de Monterreys I smoked long ago. Thanks to Bryan (@BryGuySC) for increasing my inventory but I wish I had more. Age them, go slow, snork often and smoke with an open mind. If Don Pepin Garcia made then with a sticker of $8 they'd have been a hit because they compete with or surpass much pricier sticks.

    I took so long to post that you guys were able to make lists .
