Tossed THREE premium smokes in less than a week

Fratello Lance: BOught Saturday, from a known B&M, well humidified. NO burn issues at all, but no TASTE, either.
I burned it about a 1/2", and gave it the benefit. Put it properly out, figuring I'd try it on a fresh palate in the a/m.

Fired her up with my coffee on Sunday morning. I couldn't go another inch. Tossed in the firepit, BLEH! $8 down the tube.

AF 858 Maduro corona: Bought yesterday. Couldn't get past an inch, knowing I had the leftover stub of one of my faves that I
needed to burn. Out the window it went. $6

La Gloria Cubano Petite natural (from a tin): Found it at the bottom of my dor from last year. Forgot about it. Burned it on the way into work today, but tossed it half-way. Did nothing for me.

I don't know I'd try another Fratello, based on that one bad stick. Having had other tasty AFs and LGCs, I've not
    entirely written them off, LOL.

What are some of your recent disappointments?

    , Tatuaje El T-Ltd & Miami 10

Mays: AF Span Lons & Curly Head Dlx, E. Hoil, KFC, L'Atelier, Patel Super Lig, Villiger

Nays: Cojimar, Fratello, Hererra Estelli, Kristoff Sumatra, LFD LG, LFD N.A.S., Oliva G, Parodi Toscano, Tatiana

I'll rarely toss a stick that early, if ever unless it starts to unravel on me in a big way.
I'll clip back to 2/3 and relight to see how it goes generally. Then to 1/2, then to 1/3. By that point I feel it's had a fair bite at the cherry.
The only stick that failed this to date was a VS.

Diesel Delirium. Big beautiful cigar, lovely presentation, but no flavor! It wasn't just me, as my father in law was trying one at the same time. We both pitched it at an inch or 2 in.

Guys, I've had MANY smokes that were meh until the second half, and my socks were knocked off! e.g. Diesel HoTD, CAO mx2. You could find you're missing out on some enjoyment there.

I've not had the lance yet, but I've had both the corona and the boxer. Thought they were both pretty good; the boxer good enough that I bought another.

I was smoking an un-banded Nicaraguan the other day that had an amazing flavor profile but the draw was so tight that I gave up on it after about 15 minutes. It was like trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose.

I've given up on a cigar for construction issues. I believe only twice in my life have I chucked one in the first half for taste.

Agreed. I always want to give it the benefit of the doubt and cross my fingers that it will redeem itself in the second half, which, often times it does.

No offense but those are not really premium cigars. I am not saying they are bad cigars, but I would not call them premium, chalk it up to changing tastes or just a couple bad cigars.

    Forget em and move on
