Humidity Issues???
I’ve not had these cigars but about two weeks and I noted the cap just began to crumble when I cut it:
As you can see the humidity levels should be reasonable, and there’s several tiny Boveda packs for the little container:

So what gives? The previous ones (been smoking one every morning for nearly a week) were fine...

Is it just that one cigar or a common theme?

These have only been in that container for something like 2 weeks. But if had issues like this before and rehydrated the Boveda packs (too much). It’s been rather frustrating for sure.

How do they taste? To me, overly dry cigars are harsh and overly wet ones are diluted, bitter and steamy tasting.
IMO they look like they were rolled by a blind chimp with a couple of broken fingers. Are they always that ugly?
Do they crunch when you pinch one in the middle or do they give a bit like a normal cigar?
I'd try cutting the cap with a razor blade (it's what I usually do anyway - cigar cutters are for rope tobacco).
As ugly as they are I'd be surprised if the cap didn't fall off on its own.

Being fire cured I’d guess that could mask dry harshness. They don’t feel crispy, have plenty of give. I wouldn’t have thought much of just one had I not had an issue before. Maybe it was just a one off sort of thing

Well if it were me, I'd just cut the caps with a razor blade for now and chalk it up to a poorly rolled batch. If they taste good the way they are all is well IMO. Maybe your cutter is just not as sharp as it once was.

Having tried a boatload of small cigars I see it’s not that uncommon.

A razor, huh? Haven’t used one of those in, well, a long damn time. I have a hatchet that might shave...

No, a razor blade - like a single edged blade that you use for scraping windows etc. An exacto blade works too, or even a Stanley knife blade as long as it's new or still very sharp
