Love the ad but the pipe has my attention. Can anyone make out the brand? Shaping looks like Barling, pipe looks smoked (usually new in ads) and the stem appears to be on upside down.Quote:

Love the picture of Harlan! He's one of my literary heroes. I had the pleasure of attending a lecture he gave in 1981. He held the audience spellbound for 3 hours and people were literally begging him to stay longer. It was truly one of the highlights of my life. He was selling a LP recording of him reading "Repent Harlequin!" Said the Ticktockman, but I was a broke college student at the time and didn't have the funds to purchase it. Oh, what I would give to have a copy of that recording now! Here are a few pictures of Harlan smoking a pipe I've collected over the years. Thanks for sharing, Haebar. It brought back some great memories!
