Vintage tool every cigar lover needs

Found this on the bay. Cigar box opener and closer along with a bottle opener. This one caught my eye because my first and still favorite pre-embargo was a Charles Denby.

So...it's a classic bottle opener...with a hammer? attachment and a nail puller notch? Very cool just on its age alone...

I'll admit I've never seen anything like that before.

I would guess maybe from the 1930s. Before and after the Great Depression cigars sold for around 10 cents. They dropped to a nickel during the Depression.

Quite sure you're spot on regarding the cigar prices of those days.
Tho I can't be certain of the brand names I do remember 10 cent cigars alongside two for fifteen centers as late as 1948-1950.
Perhaps Dutch Masters and/or El Producto.

While the nail puller ,tapered edge was quite common on cutters...that hammer is something I've not seen before,
paired with the bottle cap opener makes it the Swiss knife of the period.
