Anybody ordered something from P&C that was backordered?

So I ordered a few tins this evening and wasn't paying very close attention when I completed the order.

The tin of SG Navy Flake was on backorder and I didn't see it until I looked at the email confirmation. (Are you happy now @BryGuySC ? I ordered some. :cool:)

Anybody done this before? I'm not concerned about getting it, I know it will come eventually. I've just never ordered anything that wasn't currently in stock. I'm assuming they'll ship everything else immediately and then the backordered item when it becomes available? They're not gonna charge me shipping again are they?

The good news is, a tin of Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture will be here soon and I'll get to see if it lives up to the hype. :pipe:

No, they don't charge you shipping again. Their backorder system works pretty good for the customer. They will ship the items as they get them. Once I had something ordered from November that I had completely forgotten about came in last month. I wasn't charged for it until it shipped and there were no added shipping costs.

I had ordered JF Germain Special Latakia Flake

It was in stock: then I got a email saying it's on backorder about 4 or 5 years ago, I waited 9 months. And it still is not in stock.
Smoking pipes have SG navy flake in stock You can also get a 250gram box. That like two free tins of full length flakes.

Had this happen. Shipped the back ordered item with no additional charge. Good service.

I've had to wait a few times, but I always got it eventually with no extra charges. No complaints from me.

A dude I work with had this happen a few months ago. It was one of their blowout sales. Took a few weeks but he got his stuff.
