This is an older model of the Washington pipe with the 5th Avenue style bowl. It has a brass-tone ferrule/band and a saddle stem; MM doesn't currently offer this configuration. A similar pipe to this will cost you $8.29 on Missouri Meerschaum's website. This pipe is 5 3/8" long with a 1 5/8" tall bowl. The outside diameter of the bowl is 1 3/16". The stem actually feels like Vulcanite on this pipe, if not then a different kind of plastic than those currently put on MMs. This is a sharp little pipe, very light (1.4 oz, loaded with tobacco). There is absolutely no effort involved in clenching this pipe, so it would be a good choice for smoking while working with your hands. It has an aluminum accommodation for a 6mm Medico paper filter or you can smoke it without the filter. This one is dedicated to aromatic cherry blends and it gives a cool, dry smoke every time, as long as it is given a break every once in a while. Missouri Meerschaum cobs provide excellent smoking characteristics for a very reasonable price. While they don't last as long as briars or meerschaums, they remain a good value due to their low cost.
