McClelland Frog Morton review (by Cool Breeze)

Well, I decided to brave the cold temperatures and have a bowl after lunch today. I figured a latikia blend would be good for after a meal, so I decided to try some Frog Morton. Here's what I found:

Tobacco name: As mentioned above Frog Morton.

    Age: 5 years

    Blend: Latikia and Virginia

    Smoked in: MM Legend

I'm new to laatikia blends with this being only the 2nd one I've tried. The other was Nightcap and the two are very different experiences. I enjoyed the Nightcap but it is much more in your face and assertive than the FM. Also, the Nightcap has a high nicotine content whereas the FM is very low strength. I didn't get a nic buzz at all, which is good for me. The FM could very well be a latikia blend that you could enjoy any time of the day.

It was extremely smooth and while the smoky latikia was present it was not overwhelming (I suspect this is due to the 5 years age). This blend has a very pleasant sweetness to it that combined with the smoky taste is delicious. I did not expect the sweetness an was very pleasantly surprised. There wasn't any changes that I noticed. The bottom half of the bowl tasted the same as the first half, which is fine if you like the flavors which I very much did. It did leave a dryness in the mouth, but again this is not an issue if you keep something to drink handy, which I'm sure most of us do anyway.

It packed and burned great and I only had to give it one relight.

Overall, a great mild latikia blend that I will definitely come back to.

Glad Mr. Breeze liked it. I tried a sample that a co-worker BOTL gave me; eeh, it ended up in the "Bruck's Best" jar.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.
