It's real alright. A little can lend a 'fresh' tast to a blend. A lot is like dunking the tobacco in some old lady's cheap perfume just prior to loading and lighting. Mix it with a little latakia and it's like smoking laundry soap. I'm not a fan.
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

I'm new to them myself but I have found that I like the Lakeland tobaccos. Two of my favorite briars are now dedicated to Lakeland-style tobaccos. I'm no expert but from what I understand they are from a certain part of England (Lakes District) where the style originated. Samuel Gawith and Gawith & Hoggarth are the only two producers that I know of. The perfumed, flowery, flavoring is only used in some of their tobaccos, not all. They don't really taste like they smell though.

Mmmmmm... Lovely, lovely Lakelands. These guys are right in saying the blends are perfumey, both in scent and taste, covering anything from heavy rose and geranium (that's the "old woman" thing people talk about) to fresh lemongrass - in various strengths of course.

Maybe these scents have burrowed into my brain a bit deeper than others here but I could happily smoke only Ennerdale for the rest of my life and never want for another blend.
