Louisiana Perique Flake by Gawith & Hoggarth

This light brown flake is relatively easy to rub out. It is at a moisture level where it is just fine for smoking right out of the bag. The taste is very pleasant, with Perique spiciness and Tonquin flavor. The Virginia is sweet and the balance of flavors is superb. This smooth smoke has finesse and is of moderate nicotine strength. With the Virginia, Perique, Tonquin bean, and whiskey flavor, there is depth and complexity. I really enjoy this tobacco and it is one of the best Vapers I have smoked. Particularly I like the creamy smoothness and the spicy, sweet taste. I smoked it in a medium/large Comoy's Guildhall billiard and a small/medium BBB Sovereign Dublin.

This sounds good to me. I like VaPers and I like tonquin and rum flavors. Any soapy Lakeland in this one? Might have to try it
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Emperor, there's not much soapy Lakeland in this one, or at least I didn't taste it.

    Tab,

Thanks for the review. This is one of my favorite tobaccos and it's well represented in my 'cellar' (ok - office).

I fold, trying to break as little as possible and I get a lot of dry fruit with associated sweetness , not overtly sugary like more acidic mixtures.

A suggestion and a request. Try this in your incoming L'Anatra canadian, folded if you can, and (thisis the request) let me know how it smokes.

@Haebar , I've been reading good things about G&W tobaccos and I don't think I've tried any. What do you recommend, among their offerings? I'm partial to English, Virginias, and flakes. TIA!
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

Bruce, Here are some I have tried and liked:

Virginia: Dark Bird's Eye, Black Irish X
Flakes: Bright CR Flake, Louisiana Perique Flake
English: I haven't tried any of their English blends.

Some of these will ghost your pipe with the Lakeland essence, so be warned.

Tnx - these are going straight to my "git" list.

BTW, sorry to be an intellectual speed bump, but what is this Lakeland that y'all keep talking about? Is it for real, or is it inside humor?
