I got this pipe in a sampler from P&C,their CAW sampler at that.I looked it up and it seems that
in a sampler is the only way to get one there.I did find another small sampler that combined the
pipe with one 1.75 oz sample of tobacco for about $18.So it is a cheap pipe.
The pipe I got is a straight Billard with a saddle bit.Cherry finish, smooth rustication.
It's very light weight, but disperses the heat rather well.It does have a coating, looks like
some type of char mix.The drilling is spot on,centered and open enough for an easy draw,
but not so big as to suck up tobacco, embers, or ash.The balance is exceptional, easy
to clench if needed or wanted, and as stated it handles the heat well so it's easy to hold.
This is my first time with one of these pipes, but would gladly add more to my rack if the others
are manufactured as well or better.
