BryGuy reviews Cornell & Diehl Pegasus

    Date: 4/18/15
    Tobacco: Cornell & Diehl Pegasus
    Age: Unknown
Blend Contents: Black Cavendish, Burley, Virginia
    Pipe: MM Missouri
    Tin Note: Sweet trail mix
Prep: twisted a pinch into the bowl

    Notes:
I was rooting through my bag of samples from @Haebar , and randomly chose this one. I pinched a bit out of the bag and twisted it into the bowl.
I smoked this one blind, having no foreknowledge of what to expect.
From the onset, this one struck me as spicy and a little bit brash. It didn’t exactly bite, but it was hot and “rough” in my mouth.
I picked up some nuttiness and spice. I was certain this was a burley/virginia blend with a good dose of perique. I was surprised to find there was no perique, as the spiciness did not go away at all. There were a few hints of sweetness and a woody note that I picked up occasionally.

Not a bad smoke at all. It may not react well with me particularly, as it is a little rough in the back of my throat, even after I am done with it. I’m beginning to think that it might be burley that does not agree with me, but I have further testing to do!

Good review; glad you enjoyed it somewhat. I've never tried that one.
