April 2015 Tobacco of the Month - St James Flake

Ok folks! St James Flake is the TOTM for April. Smoke it if ya got it and if ya ain't got it...GET IT!!! Tell us what you think!

St. James Flake - Genuine Perique is added to an already delicious and flavoursome blend of fine bright Virginias to give St. James the light peppery characteristic enjoyed by so many pipe smokers. Medium strength.

    This is a great tobacco!
I'll happily smoke it this month, and probably order more!

    St. James Flake.

Smoked in my Pete flake billiard.

You like FVF? You like Best Brown Flake? Then you will probably like St. James. It is basically Best Brown with some perique in it. The perique doesn't add a sour pepper to it though, as it does in some Vapers. It just adds a nice spice that IMO brings out the overall sweetness of the Va leaf perfectly.

    I love St. James.

I enjoyed the St. James Flake I had.
I picked up some in our inaugural group buy not long after the forum started up. I kept out one flake to try it and get a baseline for what it is new and jarred the rest.

Well, it was pretty damn good fresh. I can't wait to see what a few years does to it.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

Sorry in late to the party. Just cracked my tin open. I've smoked two tins of this stuff and loved it. This most recent tin seems to already have more plume than the last two and appears to be a or two shade darker. Firing up the first bowl with a CB Lovat
