After reading this yesterday afternoon, I thought Sunday...Ah, what the hell. and look what was waiting for me.

Also 3 additional samples along with the Solani.
Note that the bottom bag is empty because I smoked it all!

In addition to the tin of Presbyterian there three fine samples - none of which I've had! Been wanting to try the Semois, eager to try any Esotericas, and to explore more SGs so these are all massively appreciated. Thanks for your generosity and for all the fun, Tim.

How was the Semois? I've read pretty much nothing but good things about it.

The bit I've tried has a remarkably cigar-esque flavour and mouthfeel to it. A slightly dry, earthiness you would almost get from a habano cigar.

I agree with this description. Earthy is the predominant flavor. It always reminds me of mushrooms a little. Also a little spice, more so if you don't smoke it very slow. Also, pack it fairly tight. It is very dry, so it will burn quickly.

I did not get too much of the cigar. Maybe a bit, but I think that was just because it was more straight tobacco than I am used to in pipes. Also, I am still learning.
