Warped Corto (4.5x46 / Box Press)

First Puff:

LOTS of pepper. LOTS of smoke. LOTS of goodness in the nose and mouth. Wasn't expecting that, my Bums. The Corto looks and sounds cute and cuddly. I figured this would be a nice smoke BUT NOT THIS POWERFUL AND DELICIOUS.

Afterwards:

Awesome peppery spice. Not really a blast, but it'll liquidize those boogers QUICK. Felt good. It was good to breath will NO restrictions. Seemed to have some complexity to it.

Full flavored and full strength.

Leather finally clicked in my head. You gotta kinda think back to being a kid; running out to the garage on a hot and humid summer day; looking for the mitt that was second-hand and worn in (not the bullshit Chinese faux-leather mitts, either); you look in the bin filled with other leather gloves and balls; and as soon as you open the lid...that unmistakable and deep musk hits - not hard, not soft, - but it's the only smell you associate with the mitt.

Amplify that nostalgic smell to where it WOULD hit hard - that's the showcase with the Corto.

Clean oil. Kinda minerally. But, clean and smooth.

Makes me wanna go find an old LEATHER NOT FAKE mit....clean it up a bit...oil it up nicely...and throw some nice pepper on that sumbitch and start chewing on it.

Purist-esque.

Trial By Smoke Judgement:

Awesome cigar. Probably one of the best purist-esque cigars I've had. Loved the intensity and flavors. Highly recommend this to all Bums. Highly recommend this stick to the Bums who are trying to figure out what leather tastes like. I think the Corto will make it click for you. Price-point wise, it's around $8, and I'd happily pay that for another. Thankfully, I have another on-hand, and I'm already a believer of it being box worthy on the first shot.
