Filler : Cuban seed Nicaraguan and Honduran ligero

Medium-Full Body , Medium-Full Strength


Prelight : Really beautiful looking dark ligero wrapper, tight invisible seams. Got a firm pack and heavy feel to it. Musty tobacco aroma and a perfectly loose draw (for my liking). Solid construction on this cigar.

1/3 : Right away there's tons of medium body smoke. Getting strong dark chocolate on the draw as primary flavor I can pick up, and there's slight pepper all over my tongue. The finish is very long, lasting almost till next draw. The tight pack produces some very nice straight ash, perfect burn line, but it's burning a little warm for my liking.( I'm assuming this is from how the filler's are laid out, more experienced smokers correct me if that's wrong please.) By 10 minutes in I'd say it's a medium-full body easily. For most of this third I get dark chocolate/dark coffee with pepper undertones throughout.

2/3 : More of the same for a while, medium-full body with a very long finish. Same flavor profile, which I really enjoy so I don't mind there aren't transitions yet. I can feel the strength hit me around the halfway point, medium-full strength for sure if not full. Draw and the burn are still perfect, and it's giving off a ton of foot smoke as well. Halfway through cedar/pepper starts to dominate and chocolate fades away. It's a deeper cedar/woody flavor than I've had before. The flavors start to drop in intensity but are still there and enjoyable.


3/3 : It's been burning a little warm the whole cigar but towards the end it starts burning even hotter and I'm taking over a minute between puffs just to be on the safe side. The cedar/pepper stays and I get a little toasty flavor on the back end. Burn has been consistently great the entire cigar and the draw has been great with lots of smoke output. I have to put it down with 1.5" left or so due to a thunderstorm (and the strength was starting to get to me a little bit).

Overall : I liked this cigar a lot. This would make a great cigar for after dinner with a strong drink. I see this cigar mentioned around the boards and for good reason, got great flavors with at least 2 transitions I could pick up, and other than the warm cherry the construction was perfect. I'm gonna look into a MoW sampler pack if the others are like the Ruination.

Great review Artem. You pretty much nailed the flavors I get from these. In addition to the flavor which I dig they have been a consistently good cigar box after box. I don't recall ever having any construction issues or tight draws. They're not only my favorite of the MOW line but one of my favorite all time cigars. The Virtue is a great morning smoke with a cup of coffee as well.

Thanks guys. Yeah, they're going for around $8-9 on CI but that seems reasonable for this cigar.
