Tatuaje Avion 11 (Perfect Grande)
Started off pretty sweet and smooth.
This stick seemed to pull well with a straight cut towards the first 1/3 of the cap. With these shaped sticks, I'm still getting the hang of an appropriate cut level. Ultimately, it was cut right at the cap bottom. Throughout the entirety, this stick never wanted to remain fully lit. Changed the pace drastically - probably doubling the 1-2 puff a minute rule-of-thumb, and it remained a huge chore. Constant ashing, and relighting. Similar reviews showed this same issue. Ended up running out of fuel, so it was tossed near the 3/3. Smoked it straight out of a seemingly well maintained humidor.
Despite the construction issues, the stick was awesome. Lots going on, lots of smoke, and a little different from the current Tatuajes I've recently smoked.
Defintely full flavored+strength when everything's burning.
Lots of pepper. Cinnamon. Cardamom. Not exactly that signature Tatuaje spice, but more stronger than the softer baking spices I usually get.
The sweetness seemed to turn into a dark syrup. I did read a review while smoking (Halfwheel), and it was mentioned, and I agree, but may or may not have picked up this exactness of the sweetness. Props to Halfwheel. Sometimes it seemed like liquorice.
Judgement:
Torn. Disappointed with the construction (if that was the issue), however next time it will be rested in my tuppie for a bit. Loved what I got from it, and this is where I'm torn. I'm hoping the next visit will be better, but I'll make sure to have plenty of butane on me!20210123_130823.jpg
