Sancho Panza Double Maduro (La Mancha / Corona)
Intro:
Pretty sure I bought it last Septemberish, for a buck, when I first discovered Cigarbid. I've been trying to rid my tupperdor of the unknowns and prejudged (to be bad) cigars won sub $2. Unknown because I never see them at B&Ms; unknown because friends never speak of them; and unknown because I'm Freshly Homeless (Trade Marked). Prejudged, well...because 95% of the 2 bucks-n-below-bargain-bin "wins" should've ended up in my burn barrel to warm me through those frigid winter nights...but I wasn't a bum then.
Pre-Smoke Judgement:
Researched it and I was reminded this was a double maduro cigar. I love the Camacho Triple Maduro, so maybe this will be similar. But, I remember score price and think she'll be a cheap (perfect for the bums) version of the Camacho.
Initial Stuff:
Punch'd. Nothing special noted.
1/3:
A little spice. I'd say close to full stength. Kinda bland, but the maduro's there. Smooth, but not pleasant. Meh so far. Couple more puffs, and she's now pretty harsh. Bad residual taste. I decide to hit hard...same thing - the bland is becoming more bland. Residual is becoming less harsh but still unpleasant. More unpleasantness. Interest is pretty much gone. Tossed it right before starting 2/3 (pic is where I finished)
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
An absolute turd. I couldn't finish it. I didn't want to finish it. It's not worthy of $1. Stay away - the penny pinching and priders of the $1 "wins" have been warned. If you have one, keep it for a non-special, chilly night, when you're needing to fuel your campsite's fire...and you don't want to use your precious lumber.

It’s been a long time since I had one but those were one of my favorites when I got back into cigars. Specifically the Churchill size. They were suuuuper hit and miss though.

JH,
I was hoping for an experience similar to buying an off branded item at the grocery. What I got was a dog turd wrapped in a off branded, decent appearing package. Do you think it's worthy of trying again?
