Here we have the third vitola (out of four) that this blend is available in. I've been saving the lancero for last, as they are a bit tricky!

The foot had lovely cedar notes with a hint of leather, as well as a sweetness.

I went with a guillotine cut again, as the pigtail didn't give me enough draw when I twisted it off (yeah, I gave the old pigtail a try again). I think it's kind of a jip that the pigtail cap is included in the overall length of the cigar, but I digress.

Lighting it up, I was greeted with some pleasant tobacco and woody notes with a hint of cedar. Retrohaling there was only a bit of spice, as well as a little at the back of my throat.

As the first third ends, some coffee notes come in, but I also notice that my mouth feels really dry. That's odd, I never had that with the other two vitolas I had of this blend.

More time passes and I am past the halfway point. Some nut notes have joined the party, and the spiciness continues to be very subdued. I only notice it on the retrohale. The dryness of my mouth persists though, and it detracts from the overall experience.

Total time: 70 minutes

Final thoughts: Now that I've had three different vitolas of the same blend, I have to say that it's just kind of "meh" for me. Sadly I am not good enough yet at pinpointing different flavors, but overall the taste is just sort of "okay". I don't regret smoking them, but I would not purchase them again with my own money. I really hope the lancero is the stand out vitola of the blend, because I'm honestly not really looking forward to smoking it.
