RoMa Craft Cromagnon (Knuckle Dragger / Petite Robusto)
Nice blasts of pepper and leather off the get-go. It's pretty strong, and will clear all those annoying and gross boogers right up for ya.
After the get go, it's still pretty strong. To me, you are just able to better appreciate the medly of pepper, leather, ginger and maybe black licorice.
The pepper and leather are mixed nicely, and you'll get the ginger and licorice on a SLOW retrohale.
Keeping the smoke in your mouth for a bit will give you a hot pepper (like a jalapeno, but not the taste) kinda tingling burn. It's not subtle, and is nice before a SLOW retrohale.
Close to the 3/3, there seemed to be a malty taste on the end of the retrohale. Kinda like the taste of a 40 oz Old English or malt liquor.
Burned great. Had to touch up 2-3 times on probably the same area, but the tobacco stayed strong and never soured (unless it was the above malt taste, but if so, it was kinda nice).
Full bodied and full of flavor.
There's a surprise second band (white in pic) underneath the blue band. Pretty cool.
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
Awesome stick. Right up my alley in terms of intensity, flavor (really starting to dig leathery sticks), and size. Highly recommended. Price-point wise, there around $8 (CI), and I believe that's a fair price. These would be great for the upcoming cold weather season, especially in this vitola.
