    Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro

    Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro - Belicoso - 5.7"X54 Burn Time : 1hr 10min

    Wrapper : Connecticut Broadleaf
    Filler : Nicaraguan

Body - Medium Strength - Medium

Prelight : This cigar's got a nice looking, dark silky smooth wrapper. No large veins, tight seams. It's got a hay and barnyard aroma.

1/3 : This was paired with a White Russian, was hoping this would be a creamy cigar and the drink and cigar would complement each other. Right away, there's a nice silky smooth smoke and a good draw after a double clip. I was surprised by how light the body was, pushing a light-medium at the very most. Subtle flavors of coca, and a little nuttiness. No real "texture" to the smoke, it's very thin and has a very short finish. There's a bit of spice on the finish. Perfect burn.

2/3 : Still mild-medium bodied, the flavors are not very strong and as a result aren't really wowing me. Nuttiness comes and goes, there's some dark bitter chocolate as well. I'm assuming some of these flavors, especially bitter chocolate, is "maduro" flavor profile. Strength ramps up to a medium at the halfway point. Unfortunately it's not standing up too well to the White Russian I'm drinking, it's a bit too mild and lacks cream in the flavor or in the mouth feel.

3/3 : Finishes off with more of the same. Strength ramps up a bit, body stays around a medium at the most. One solid pro about this cigar was the burn, absolutely perfect with no attention needed from me. Ends pleasantly with a whimper, no bang here.

Overall : A good cigar, not a great cigar. Didn't really grab my attention, I'll try this in the natural wrapper but for the price point I think I can go elsewhere in the future for $6/stick.

    Thanks for the review Artem.

Try cbid to pick these up for $2-3. The natural may give you a better opinion of the line.
