PDR Small Batch Reserve [Habano 3 Pack - Review 2/3]

    Intro:

I was going save this to be the last smoke of the pack. However, I researched her earlier and discovered something interesting. A while back, I was unknowingly chasing a box of the SBR for super cheap on Cigarbid. The box advertised as the Wicked Pug, but I just learned that the Wicked Pug is just a different size of the SBR. So, I had to smoke it now to find out what I was chasing

    1/3:

FROM THE GET-GO, my bums, I can tell she's a winner. A little more sweet than the FYR; a little kinder with her habano flavor; smooth with a seductive bite; clean, and a similar residual to the FYR. For her price and performance (thus far), I'm tempted to return to my chase. One drawback is her draw - she makes you work for it - not too hard, but some effort is required. Another, she's a little blandish, but the flavor is decent for it's price.

    2/3:

She's got a decent ash. Her smell is cozy, and inviting. She's not fragile. You get her a little hot, and she'll bring a little more spice and a smidge of spicyness, and never a hint of bitterness. The retrohale is still smooth, with a nice spice, and the profile steps up a notch, but still near the lower end of medium. The habano sweetness is quickly masked by the spice and notch-up.

    3/3:

The residual is pastey-roasted-nuttiness, Id say. Hot draws still deliver tastefully. The blend's taste has been easily noticed to be similar to the FYR. Another flaw has been the sidetracking, but, we all know my uncaringness and remedy towards that matter, my bums. A little sweetness and habano flavor develops as I finished, and the overall residual is nice.

    Trial By Smoke Judgement:

Best PDR I've smoked, and I've probably had 6-7 different kinds. I was overall surprised, and the SBR has further increased my awareness to the brand and willingness to buy. Definitely recommend to the bums to score individually, or the Habano 3 Pack. She's not a favorite or game-changer, but, damn, for sub $3, she'll be a favorite for the pricepoint at least. Best part: my radar is back on that small box of Wicked Pugs.

Ran into attachment storage problems last night. I've also read on a sticky that there's a pic limit for noobs. So, I'm not sure if the limit applies; or if I need to delete some pics, which hopefully won't delete the previously posted pics. I'll shout out to the mods for clarification soon, and post a pic after, if I can.
