    Padron 3000 - Maduro

    Padron 3000 Maduro Burn Time : 1hr 20min

    Wrapper : Nic. Maduro

    Filler : Nic. long fillers

Prelight : It's got a strong barnyard aroma. Very hard pack, with a thick dark wrapper. Big vein running down the side but other than that solid construction.

1/3 : Chocolate hits me right away as I start this cigar, mostly on the finish. Medium body. Good draw with lots of smoke output. Get toasted nuttiness as well, pepper on my tongue on the finish. Very smooth smoke. Also get a toasty...leather? I've never tasted leather before but I think this cigar has it. Touch for me to tell.

2/3 : I let the cherry get cool between puffs and am rewarded with a sweet chocolate on the draw, very nice. Still think I'm getting touches of leather...also a sweet and sharp cedar comes in. Draw really opens up to huge clouds of smoke. Medium full body and flavors, flavors very distinct.

3/3 : Strength ramps up on this final third, probably up to a medium full. Perfect burn and draw. A strong pepper comes in now. It finishes with lots of the pepper, cedar and a weaker chocolate than the beginning. Very enjoyable and flavorful smoke.

Overall : My first Padron and I really enjoyed it. Not much to say really, it's a Padron and this is kind of what I was expecting. I'm looking forward to trying the natural wrapper, and some of their other blends when I get the chance.

I've been eying the Padrons for a while but tried one very early in my cigar journey and didn't care much for it (don't recall the exact varietal). I have been pretty sure it was just too much for where I was at the time. Your review gives me a great place to try them again. This seems to be right where I like them now. Thanks for the review!

As an aside, hey I'm not a lonely wandering bum anymore! Now I'm just bummin around...

Love the 2000 and the Churchill in Maduro. Awesome flavor and value, if you can let them sit a year or two, IMO they are great.

My only complaint is that sometimes it's really hard to tell the maduro apart from the naturals.

Don't think I've ever seen a x000 reviewed. A lot of division between the naturals and maddies. I'm a natural kind of guy all the way but many love the maduros.
If you get the chance, you should try a 64 or 26.

On my list when my monthly cigar budget increases lol. looking forward to trying the natural too, think those flavors are more up my alley but I'll have to smoke one and see for sure.

For me it's not the profile but just, well... preference for this particular brand. There are many sticks I prefer in maduro, but so far Padron isn't one. The x000s are good, but the 64 and 26 are just... well, you'll have to try for yourself! Good review.
