Here we go with another Opus Review...this is my first Love Affair and the only one I currently have, what better time to smoke it than now!

Drink: Coke Zero

The construction on this cigar is like every other Opus I have had...near flawless. The bands are beautiful and the overall presentation of them is top-notch!

The initial first few puffs from this cigar produced the Opus spice one would expect from just about every Opus, unless you have had one sitting for quite some time then they begin to mellow out a bit.

As we work out way through the first third of this cigar the spice begins to mellow out a bit and surprisingly a sweet flavor starts to develop. I had to V-Cut the cigar at this point since the draw was a bit tough, the V-Cut fixed it quickly!

Into the second third of the cigar I am not picking up much spice at all. A nice woody flavor has crept it's head out and the sweetness is still hanging around. This cigar is getting better and better as we work through it, no further draw issues either!

Into the final third we go and usually the same time the nicotine sweats start but surprisingly I am rolling through this one without much issue! The sweetness is still hanging around which is quite nice and the wooddy flavors are still hanging around in the background.

Onto the nub we go...the spice is back but is very faint. We are now working with a nice sweet flavor and some subtle spice to round it out nicely. This was a bit different than the other Opus I have had and was very welcomed! The L.E. nub screw rears it's head once again!

I know many people have had burn issues as well as draw issues with this Vitola but I did not experience them throughout. The V-Cut in the beginning helped the slight draw issue I had but after that it was never a problem. This was a very nice cigar and if you can get your hands on one give it a shot! Hope you enjoyed

Sit back, relax and enjoy a great cigar in good health!
