    Nice Libre

Nica Libre 6.0"X54 Burn Time : 1hr 15min to the nub

Wrapper : San Andres Maduro (starting to really like this wrapper..)

Filler : Nicaraguan long fillers (Habano binder)

    Body : Medium-Full Strength : Li-Med

Prelight : This is a beautiful, and feeling, looking cigar. I love the box press look and feel, the wrapper is absolutely silky smooth with a perfect light brown looking wrapper. Aroma is light tobacco and barnyard. It's got a slightly spongy pack.

1/3 : Opens up with a perfect draw with tons of smoke. Medium-full body right off the bat, with distinct flavors. Very long finish of dark cocoa. In general this cigar has a "dark" flavor profile. Hopefully some of you guys will understand what I mean with this. I pair this with chocolate covered almonds and some cognac and I'm in heaven. Draw flavors I get toasted nuttiness, deep and dark.

2/3 : Burn is cruising along quite quickly, either due to the slightly spongy pack or the fact that I'm loving this cigar and can't resist smoking it quicker than usual. Get more of dark toasted nuttiness, dark chocolate, with a very long tasty finish. Awesome.

3/3 : Last third has a big transition, and a sweet cedar dominates this third. Still thick and very smooth smoke. Has a great burn throughout the smoke, I don't have to worry about it at all. Strength is barely noticeable.

Overall : I don't really wanna bring up how much it costs because it's a great smoke on its own. If I had to guess, I would have priced this cigar at $6-8 a stick based on great flavors and great construction. The fact that it's on the cheaper side is simply a bonus. This cigar will be a staple in my humidor for sure.

I haven't smoked the Nica Libre since they changed their packaging but I've smoked a few dozen across the size range. I like them but found them to be very fast burning. Did you notice this? A Toro, this size, in most brands would last me 90 minutes or so but the Nica Libre Toro, even when carefully smoked was done in half that time.

    Good review, thanks.

Thanks. I do notice that the pack on these isn't very firm, which would lead to quicker smoking times. But this one I reviewed lasted 75 min so I think that's not bad.

Great cigar for the price especially if you like a strong pepper blast.
