Bummin' Around
Muwat
Drew Estate - MUWAT
Strength: MEDIUM-FULL
Wrapper: San Andres
Origin: Nicaragua
Appearance and Construction
Wrapper was dark and oily with one large vein, but it didn't impact my burn at all. In fact, the burn was perfect throughout without any touchups.
Flavor
Burn had a perfect line throughout and produced great smoke.
1/3 - Not a whole lot of flavor in the first third. It had me kind of worried that this was a flaw in the cigar or just not a great one to smoke. The only flavor I picked up was just a little bit of earth and tobacco. But just really boring. No complexity at all.
2/3 - This is when the cigar began to open up. A little bit of cocoa and nutty flavors. It toed the line between boring and some complexity.
3/3 - I finally got the pow of flavor that I was looking for. Oddly enough, I tasted a lot of peanuts. Don't know if that is normal for this cigar or not. There was also some sweetness and buttery flavor with some cocoa and spice on the end. This was the best third of the cigar.
The last third was great, but that was about it. I have heard a lot of good things about this cigar, but was disappointed. For a Med-Full, I had anticipated a ton for flavor.

What vitola was this, Sam? I've had the baitfish size and it was indeed more flavorful.

I want to say it was the Toro.

Give the bait fish a try. They're very tasty.

Sounds like it may have been the +11.
They have oddball names they call their different vitolas.
I have tried a few of them and like the Baitfish the best.
Check out my Youtube channel, Razorback Piper Guy if you like that sort of thing.

That is what I heard. So smaller packs a better punch then?

Yeah, even though it's small I smoked it for a full hour, and got a little light headed at the end.
6" x 60 is the original blend.

I smoked a few 6X60 and my experience was similar...not worth buying any more, plus the wrapper on a couple of 'em came unwound. Annoying. Good and accurate review.

I would actually buy a pack of Baitfish, so I highly recommend trying one in that size. They only come in waxed paper wrapped packs of 4, IIRC.

I got the +11 in a couple of weeks ago. How long do you guys suggest I wait till I try one. I usually let my cigars rest for 6 months, but I am always in the hunt for sticks that I can enjoy semi ROTT.
