Intro:

Possible rain means I'm going for a tosser. $1 off Cigarbid sometime within the last year.

Pre-Smoke Judgement:

Had the Black near the beginning of summer, and it was pretty good. The looks of this cigar tell it's gonna be mildish, but I've been learning that looks can be deceiving. I'm hoping it'll be another budget gem.

1/3:

The first couple inches are kinda rough, and not in a good-tobacco-bite kinda way. The roughness is more similar to harshness. Nothing discernable other than an OK tobacco flavor. Pulls nice. Burn's a tad uneven, but easily manageable. After close to the end of the 1/3, the tobacco becomes MUCH less harsh, and a hint of spice is present in the retrohale. Mild-plus body/flavor. Darker gray ash turns into a much cleaner gray, and a little flaky.

2/3:

The orange band is probably messing with my head - but there may be a slight orange or orange peel flavor. Flavor from the remainder of the 1/3 is solid here. It does seem to become a little more smooth. Around 1/2, a little spice or flavor pops subtely on the retrohale. The flavor does seem more orangish, but there's not enough there to tell. It's still been burning unevenly off and on. Tossed shortly after 1/2 due to disinterest.

Trial By Smoke Judgement:

It was an OK mild-plus cigar. However, the body and flavor, and belief that this is a mildish stick overall, isn't what I'd prefer in general. I would recommend the Orange to the bargain bums who enjoy mildish cigars. Don't recommend purchasing at the MSRP of $6 (CI), but do recommend scoring on them cheap at Cigarbid. I personally won't purchase anymore, but am overall happy with the purchase and learning about the stick first-hand.
