Macanudo Cafe Hyde Park

Macanudo Cafe Hyde Park 5.5"X49
Wrapper : Connecticut
Filler : Dominican and Mexican
Light Medium Body Medium Strength
Prelight : It has good construction with a slightly bumpy/toothy wrapper, with a light tobacco aroma. Has a heavy feel and good tight seams.
1/3 : Starts off with a light body with a medium long finish of some mild but pleasant woody and tobacco notes. There's good smoke production with a straight burn line that stayed cool, draw has just a slight touch of resistance. The flavors are not complex at all..other than those two notes there's really nothing else this third...or this whole cigar.
2/3 : Halfway through there's still a good burn with good smoke output. That's the upside. The downside is that this stick is unbelievably boring. Might be the most boring I've had yet, not the worst smoke as it's smoking well there's just no change in flavor at all. The profile is the same throughout, light medium body, with a strength that comes up to medium. I was with a buddy when I smoked this and decided to put it down with the entire last third left and go grab a bite to eat. It just really wasn't holding my attention at all, with no distinct or complex flavors.
Overall : Damn boring cigar. I see these are going for $36 on ci.com for a 5pack, can't imagine what makes this a 7/stick cigar but it's not for me. This would be a good yard 'gar for those of you seeking a reliable light smoke that you don't have to focus on, and won't feel bad not finishing.

Gypsy in the Palace
Nice review. Pretty much exactly what I get from these sticks as well.
We're going to need a bigger humidor
