Lianos Dos Palmas Maduro (Petite Corona)
*Not sure of the exact vitola, but it's close to a Petite Corona
Strong peppery spice followed by nice leather on the retrohale throughout the entirety.
Excellent draw.
Residual mouth taste is dark tobacco and very tasty.
Wonky burn throughout, and troubles staying lit after midway through. However, these negative points have been due to my pace. No issues with taste after relighting and purging.
Clean maduro taste, and not maduro-heavy.
Full bodied throughout.
$6-7/ea
~$100/bundle
Judgement:
Awesome stick. Awesome size. Hopefully the issues aren't across the bundle. I was very surprised by the quality of the craftsmanship and tobacco. Definitely looking forward to smoking through the rest. Price point wise, the bundle brought it around $4/ea, and that makes it a great ratio of price vs. quality. Even at MSRP it's good. Recommended.

I used to get the Double Maduros a ton when I was making regular trips to Charleston. I found they burned way better with rest being freshly rolled. The flavors though are awesome and I always got a ton of smoke production, like Liga 9 levels of smoke.

Those 2x Maduros sound delish. I was hoping for a bigger selection of blends, but their vitola selection was bigger than expected. I read somewhere about different blends they offered, and wanted to get a sampler. Probably covid related slim down of blends offered. But, the guy did say something about calling in and possibly making custom orders. I'll probably do that before my next trip down and ask about the 2x maduros.

I was wrong! I went back and double checked my humidor list and they are Connecticut Broadleaf Maduros but Double Coronas......I must be getting old.

I may have one or two left. I bought mine 2008-16. 2016 was the last time I was close enough to swing by and get more.

I just lit one of these as Santa brought me 2 of them. I'm not far into it but it is very good and having zero issues. I'm usually not a big Maduro fan, let's see if this changes my mind. Burn and draw are perfect with tons of smoke. Thank you Matthew!
