    Las Calaveras 2015

I'll update this with pics later....photobucket isn't cooperating today.

Time to Rest: 24 hours so basically ROTT lol
    Pairing: Water
    Size: LC46 Corona Gorda
Construction: A little bit veiny with a decent oily sheen to the wrapper

Pre Light Smell: Some Floral notes and a sweetness from the wrapper. Tobacco and Hay from the foot.

Cold Draw: Aged tobacco and Hay

1st Light: Pretty Heavy White Pepper, some Earthy notes and Cedar.

1/3: Spice settled into a mild white pepper on the tip of the tongue. Had some earthiness and a hint of coffee up front. A dry nuttiness and more spice was present on the finish. Finish was fairly short, and the smoke was mild strength/medium body. A few minutes in, the finish started getting a little longer with more spice and coffee flavor lingering on the back of the tongue. There was a mild tart/bitter flavor but it seemed like that was from smoking it so young. I really think that with some rest that's going to turn into more of a floral or citrus note.

2/3: A little less spice up front but much more coffee flavor coming through...like right in your face coffee flavor. To me it was one of those prominent flavors that if you can't taste this, you probably can't taste anything but plain smoke in a cigar, and every cigar probably tastes the same to you... It was that defined. The nuttiness went away and a hint of a dry cocoa started to creep in on the finish. It went really well with the lingering white pepper spice. Still Medium Body but the strength has crept up closer to medium.

    3/3:
The spice on the tip of the tongue ramped back up again. Coffee was still the main flavor up front and those tart/bitter notes crept back in. I'm convinced they're going to change with rest. The Dry Cocoa towards the back of the palate is much more obvious now. The finish itself shortened up again. The white pepper spice became more of a baking spice. Medium Body and Medium Strength now.

Total Burn Time: 1 Hour 25 Minutes.

Final thoughts: Flawless construction and burn. I did have to relight once but I think that was related to the humidity. I chose this vitola for 2 reasons... 1) Because I had more of them. 2) Because everyone said this one needed the most rest. I'm not going to give this a ## out of 100 yet. I'm going to wait until I have another one with more rest. However, if this one needs the most rest out of all of them but still tasted this good ROTT, I'm pissed that I split my box of Robo and more pissed that I didn't buy another box of each. I loved it! #3 on the limited release list IMO this year with the potential to move to #2 after some rest.

    1) Cote d'Or (Hands down the best, even young...with some rest nothing is going to touch this one, not even the Tat Releases)
    2) Pope of Grenwich Village
    3) Las Calaveras

Really nice review! Man that is one ugly cap. Were there any problems with it coming apart as the smoke went along?

Not at all! I thought the cap was perfect besides my crooked cut lol. It was still really wet from shipping, plus saliva, plus a crooked and low cut and the edges of the cap never lifted. They did a damn good job on these
