La Perla Habana Black Pearl Original (Robusto)

    [Review Preview]

    Intro:

Needed to start the day off with something tossable. Also felt like an education was in need. Got this back in my $1 stick spree phase, last summer. Saw it amongst the friends in the humidor, and knew it's time had come.

    Pre-Smoke Judgement:

I'm sure I had a La Perla Habana (LPH) sometime within the last year, but cannot definitely recall. I am looking forward to learning about the brand first hand, and if all else fails, at least I got my $1 worth, that way.

Let us know what you think. I gladly smoke a free one but I would spend my money on them. Its like beer at a picnic, if your not picky and just enjoy that it was free its good enough.

I'm actually wow'd for $1. I think these still go around that price on Cigarbid.

A quick and dirty of the LPH Black Pearl:

Nice pepper, not blasts, but very present on the retrohale

    Purist-esque

    Great tobacco flavor and bite

Paired well with a cafe mocha (Swiss Miss and black coffee)

Solid flavor from start to near the band, where I unfortunately had to toss.

    Superb smoke for $1.

Recommended. Try to steal em for a buck. They were very easy to get at this price a while back, but haven't kept my eye on them, as I'm getting kinda annoyed by Cigarbid.

I'll keep an eye out for these fellas on my next Cigarbid run. A fiver for sure, maybe a 10 pack for a solid deal.

Very nice. I can enjoy a good budget stick. Thanks for sharing, sometimes it seems everyone only likes to talk about unicorns. You seem like my kind of guy who will give almost anything a shot.

Yes. Even a couple shots. Bring on the Gurkhas and shit sticks - I want first hand knowledge and experience. I don’t want to hear about only the cigar of the year or $10+ sticks that are the bees knees. You da man.

I enjoy this cigar and have a box of them at home. They are a great budget Maduro. These, Bahia Red and Nica Libre are my go-to budget Maduro smokes. Glad you enjoyed this one. you're not alone.
