La Herencia Cubana CORE
La Herencia Cubana CORE Toro 6.5"X52 Burn Time : 1hr 15min
Body - Medium Strength - Medium
Wrapper : Ecuador Habano Ligero
Filler : Esteli ligero, Jamastran ligero, Pennsylvania Broadleaf, Nicaraguan Ometepe ligero
Prelight : Nice looking stick, has a very smooth dark brown wrapper. It's box pressed with visible but tight seams, construction looks solid. Has a sweet chocolate aroma. Slightly spongy pack.
1/3 : Starts off with a great draw, with a decent smoke output. Flavors are cream, nuttiness, and chocolate. Really a very nice flavor profile on this one. Has a long sweet finish. Starts off burning perfectly with strong ash, solid medium body.
2/3 : The pack was slightly spongy as I mentioned and it's burning a bit quickly. That's really the only downside I could find. Has a great, chewy mouth feel. Finish turns to sweet cedar. I'm really shocked by the sweetness on the finish, really enjoying it. Through this third the cigar hasn't had big transitions but it's been very smooth and creamy and absolutely delicious honestly.
3/3 : Last third has no changes from the second third. The finish stays a smooth cedar. As I mentioned, not a very complex cigar but a damn good one. Smoked this one to the nub and wanted more.
Overall : I gave this cigar really high marks in my personal journal. Loved the flavors, perfect burn (just a bit quick that's all). Solid flavors but with minimal strength, just what I like. I think I'm an AJ fan for sure now.
