True Derelict
La Gloria Cubana Serie R Esteli #54
Attachment 3908
Smoked: 9/24
Wrapper smells of spice and hay. Foot gives a barnyard aroma. Cold draw is earthy, spice and a faint coffee note.
First third: Tastes are pepper, spice, cedar and coffee. Aromas are of cedar, spice, faintly salty, and a rich undertone.
Second third: Tastes are cedar, spice, leather and coffee, and increasing strength. Aromas are cedar and spice. The richness has upped, and hints of red pepper play in to the aroma.
Final third: tastes are spice, leather and coffee, with a very full body. Aromas are also spice, leather and coffee.
This was a great smoke, and I am looking forward to seeing how the remaining sticks age.
Edit: I should also add that this vitola is probably top of the pile, IMO, of $5 sticks.
