I'm just giving you a quick review of this cigar, because, simply, this cigar is much like other LGCs I have reviewed. The La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurados Flechas Especial -whew, that was a mouthful - is a 6.5"x49 salomon that retails for just under $8.
The wrapper is very smooth and silky and smells like a floral barnyard. The dainty foot is woody and the cold draw is floral and a tad on the tight side.
The first third kicks off with some cedar and a lot of cardamom, which is a nice profile for this cigar. Shortly after the foot shoulder (kankle?) cream is added. But that is short-lived as cedar and spice are the primary flavors, and the wood increases as I reach the second third.
The second third is all wood. The ash has been medium grey and flaky. The burn line is good.
And the final third is still woody, but more like charred wood.
The cigar is okay, but like I said, much like a lot of other LGCs. Lots of wood, but in a mild way. The construction was great, but I was hoping for more complexity from a cigar with Reserva in the name. I wouldn't bother hunting one of these down. Just get a cigar from their regular line, and you'll get the gist of what LGC has to offer.
