Just had the Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte Serie B.
At first sight, I really liked the modest embossing on the band, but the wrapper had some interesting tooth. Almost warty, or herpe-like:
Just very un-uniform. Sporadic placement...differing sizes...weird.
The first third was creamy, but king of sour. No, not sour cream. Just creamy, yet sour. The second third reduced in sourness and added a spicy cedar flavor. The burn was unruly, perhaps due to this hole:
The burn did get better, and the ash was nice and strong.
But, the flavors never really evolved past the woodiness I was tasting. There were hints of coffee in the second and final thirds. Overall, this was an okay cigar, but not as good as other JDNs I've had. I'll probably pass on this in the future.
