1/3:
Lots going on. Full flavored, maybe med-med+ strength.
Zesty, slightly twangy, maybe yeasty, and a little peppery.
The maduro is kinda light. It very nicely rounds out the main (above) tastes and gives a nice depth to the sharper tastes.
Thought of a couple Cubans while smoking - something's there on the end of the retrohale I couldn't put my finger on.
Nice burn.
Residual is a little bready. Thought of a fresh country bread.
2/3:
Progresses nicely. Everything dials in to where everything is still discernable, but the melding was superb.
Becomes a little more dark.
Residual seemed more fresh medium roast.
Burn become a tad wonky, but no big deal.
3/3:
Progresses again with the meld. Everything's a bit more subtle, yet it still seemed there.
The maduro seemed to shine a bit more - I thought of that same fresh county-style bread, coffee, but now a chocolate malt popped in my head. Very nice.
Pepper picks up.
Had to give it a flame purge, as it seemed to be straying taste-wise. Came back sharp and nice.
Judgement:
Awesome stick. Highly impressed by my first experience, and will look more in to JG sticks, if there are any. Definitely would like to get a stash of these bad boys. CI says $7/ea, and that's good price-point-wise, to me. Highly recommended.
