Pre Light - Sweet tobacco
Cold Draw - Woody, sweet tobacco
Appearance - Golden color, oily, no tooth, soft leathery smoothness. Nearly seamless with a fair amount of veins.
Light - Cedar, cream, light pepper, vanilla, little bit of sweet spice.
1st Third - Flavors stay the same as the initial light with the addition of a bit of earthy sweetness from the broadleaf. The profile is the same in the retrohale with a bit more pepper. The body of the smoke has a nice smooth silkiness but the finish is very dry and tannic. Med-full body, medium strength.
2nd Third - The cedar and cream pulls off a little and the finish gets an indescribable twang to it. Not bad but noticeable. Otherwise the profile stays about the same including the retrohale. Med-full body, medium strength.
Final Third - The creaminess starts to pick back up along with some mocha notes and a stronger broadleaf backbone. The strong cedar character also picks back up in the finish making the mouthfeel very dry with a tannic astringency. Retrohale is still cedar, pepper, sweet spice, and a bit of cream. Med-full body, medium strength.
Construction - Easy draw, even burn, good smoke production. Ash isn't flakey but is only sturdy to about an inch.
Overall - A nice easy going cigar I think is worth checking out though I think the tannic finish will be off-putting to some. Smooth, flavorful, nice body without the strength. The flavors in particular don't change much but the balance of them jumps around a little keeping things entertaining.
