Went to this one wanting a CT and I was looking for something else in particular - a MOW Virtue or V-something. Had that MOW a while back and enjoyed it; and have come to enjoy and appreciate CTs and milder kinds of smokes due to the Virtue (or whatever it was called) being one CT that's pushed me to go outside of my preference zone.
Can't remember if I've ever went into my tuppie wanting a CT. I ran across another CT or two, but saw Gilberto sitting there - and he's been sitting patiently for a LONG time. He was another pariah within my box, mixed amongst the favored, new, unknowns and whatever else is in there. He was avoided and outcast from my decisions to smoke the many numerous times I came across him due partially to both: my luck with the $1 pricepoint from my beloved Angel's Site; and my slowly-but-surely everchanging bias towards CT sticks.
Initial puffs are pretty nice. Can't recall any flavors besides what I thought was CT wrapper, but later I discovered this was an Indonesian Sumatra wrapped cigar. Wasn't creamy like CT, but it did have a nice golden tobacco taste.
The Reserva Blanc isn't too mild, and has a nice medium body that's filled with a mildish earthy tobacco that can be a bit rough around the edges at times.
Outstanding construction and burn throughout.
Judgement:
Great cigar. It's one of the best $1 Cigarbid sticks I've had and it'll surely be on my bidding menu along with the darker GORB Noir. I know very little about Indonesian Sumatra and Sumatra in general but do want to discover this wrapper more due to this, especially in milder cigars, hopefully giving me a broader selection of mildness. Recommended.
