True Derelict
My Father Le Bijou 1922 grand robusto review
Smoked 5/18
This one feels solid in hand, has only some veins showing, and has an oily sheen. The wrapper smells of barnyard, spicyness,, red pepper and straw. Foot gives an interesting mix of black and red pepper, and toast. Cold draw is baking spice, cedar and red pepper.
First third : this stick is an absolute treat! Tastes are: smoky and spicy, suggesting mesquite to me, along with red pepper and spice. Aromas are that mesquite, and red pepper.
Second third : that mesquite taste has separated into hickory and red pepper, along with spice, for both taste and aroma.
Final third: Tastes are hickory, red pepper, spice and a little bit of welcome sweetness. Aromas are hickory, red pepper and spice.
This cigar was an awesome cap to the set. I clearly saved the best for last, and I will be looking for more of these!
