My Father El Centurion H2K CT toro review

Every once in a while, you get one of THOSE cigars....

This is the one I bought. I picked this one out carefully. I even dug to the bottom of the box at JFH, so I'd get one with rest that wasn't disbturbed by light and/or handling. I dropped $9 on this one. And my reward? Read on, my friends...

This cigar has a nice, oily sheen, feels solid. Upon putting lips to cap for moistening, I'm greeted with a red pepper tingle. Oooh, me likey that! Snipped the cap and OMG, a freakin' tree trunk! There's a big ol' stem pokin' out. Ah, well, happens to the best of 'em once in a while. Wrapper smells spicy, with both straw and barnyard notes. Foot gives no black pepper (hmm?), only toast and tobacco. Cold draw brings the red pepper heat out, as well as the tobacco and toast.

First third: There is a small amount of red pepper to taste, and perhaps graham cracker. Aroma is suggestive of spicy and peppery. Mostly, it is pleasant as all get out, but an indeterminate muddle. Unfortunately, the second and final thirds follow suit, the only noted event being a death and relight in first-to-second.

I guess you get one of those sticks once in a while, but for $9? Man, I don't know about that...
