It has a sweetened/syrupy cap, that kinda tasted like a very light coffee infused simple syrup.
There's a very nice frothed milk taste throughout. If you enjoy a nice milky latte, you'll pick it up easily.
I think "Red Eye" is bad name for this stick. There are coffee notes, but nowhere near what I'd call close to a cup of Red Eye (brewed coffee with a single shot of espresso). I figured it would be STRONG coffee.
Most of the coffee notes were good, but were pretty light. The coffee flavor very much reminded me of a prepackaged instant coffee I would buy in bulk for my time at-sea. The mix is a pic attached (the mix is good, not too strong, and kinda sweet - how I liked coffee at the time)
A light leather was noticeable. Can't remember when I picked it up - probably near the 1/2 mark. You'll get it on a SLOW retrohale, and is a nice addition.
Trial By Smoke Judgement:
I personally will not return, only because of the cap. I didn't like the flavor, wasn't expecting it, and wouldn't have bought a fiver had I known. I would've stuck with a single. Figured it was going to be like a stronger DE Java - which I remember really enjoying. I spit it out damn near after every draw, but it lingers and ruins the stick.
I do recommend it to the Bums who don't mind sweetened caps. I got a fiver for pretty cheap off Cigarbid - less than $3/stick. The rest of the stick is good.
